Why Should I Consider Group Counseling?
Therapy can serve as a valuable support and resource to help aleviate a variety of concerns, issues, and problems that can arise in our day to day, and often stressful, lives. Unfortunately, therapy can often seem like a luxury during difficult economic times, but it is during these times that the support that can be found in therapy is most valuable and often crucial to maintaining our well being.
Group Counseling can offer individuals an opportunity to gain many of the same benefits found in traditional individual counseling, but at a reduced cost to the participant. In many cases, Group Counseling can offer even greater advantages than traditional one on one counseling because it provides a fantastic opportunity for individuals to come together to explore relationship and interpersonal issues in a supportive environment designed to improve communication, alleviate feelings of isolation, and develop support systems.
At Associates in Human Development Counseling we offer a number of groups to help improve interpersonal functioning, promote safe and healthy relationship skills. Click here to learn more about the groups we offer at AHDC!
