Supervised visitation is intended to provide a safe environment for children to visit with their non-custodial parent. Our primary concern is maintaining safety and security for all parties while minimizing stress or anxiety for the children. We have a comfortable, clean and bright Children's Play Center where visits take place.
Our intake process includes separate 1-hour meetings with each of the involved parties, as well as an orientation session with the children when needed, to assess the individual needs of all members of the family. We make special scheduling considerations in the case that an order of protection is in place to minimize any safety concerns.
As part of the supervised visitation process, we strongly recommend that the children be enrolled in weekly counseling either through our office or with their current treatment provider. These sessions are important in helping your children to adjust to the visitation process, as well as in gauging the impact that the visitation sessions are having on their social, emotional and academic development.
